We capture cross- and parallel-polarized images simultaneously in order to obtain ultra fine detail, like pores and wrinkles as well as the reflective properties of the skin.
We take up to 18 images per camera to capture color albedo and normals. A complete photometric stereo scan takes less than 3 seconds.
Photometric Stereo captures can be repeated every 12 seconds. Which enables us to scan crucial poses in order to derive accurate deformation of and change of color
To scan a full range of facial motion we are able to scan FACS poses in rapid succession.
Our camera solutions were developed inhouse and have the following specs:
16MP, 10bit RAW, 9fps
High powered, high CRI COBs illuminate the scan volume.
Our main goal is reliability and repeatability. One key factor is a thoroughly synchronized system.
The measured maximum delay from the first camera to last is well below 100 microseconds.
Albedo, Reflectance (Specular, Micro-Displacement), High Frequency Normals
The Scanner is controlled via a web interface. Just connect via a browser and all settings are available.
